Here’s a bit about the authors, Phil and Linda Sommerville,  and why they wrote this book…

Phil Sommerville

 Phil is an author, speaker, pastor, ministry coach, and co-founder of Faith Alive 365 – a ministry that creates small group resources, inspirational books, church campaigns, and spiritual growth events to help people experience the life of Christ.

“The reason we started Faith Alive 365,” says Phil, “is because we see so many Christ-followers who sit in church week after week and wonder – is this all there is?  Our passion is to help people come more fully alive in Christ 365 days a year, not just on Sundays.”

Phil has mentored hundreds of small group leaders and pastored thousands of people. He has served on the pastoral staff of several churches, including Bayside of Granite Bay, CA, and Bayside West.  He and his wife, Linda, also served as the founding Co-Pastors of a church plant in Wichita, Kansas.

Phil first met Linda while they were students at Fuller Seminary, and knew she was the one.  After twenty years of marriage and raising two teenage sons, they are still going strong.

Linda is an author, speaker, pastor, educator, spiritual director, and co-founder of Faith Alive 365.   She has a special heart to help people slow down and hear from God in the midst of the busyness of life.

When Linda is not partnering with Phil on a writing or speaking project, she is teaching at William Jessup University – a Christ-centered liberal arts college in Rocklin, CA.
